Caesars Palace recaptures the glory that was Greece and the grandeur that was Rome in a resort that is synonymous with Las Vegas. Caesars Palace offers luxurious rooms and suites, elegant restaurants, world-class shopping, incredible pools and gardens, exciting entertainment, and championship sports, all at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip.
Shipboard Casinos
Among the many Caesars gaming attractions are its two shipboard casinos. Named Caesars Palace at Sea, each casino is operated by Caesars personnel aboard the ultra-luxury cruise liners Crystal: Harmony and Crystal Symphony. A third ship that will have a Caesars casino, the Crystal Serenity, is under construction.
Casino History
Caesars Palace established itself as the standard of luxury for the Nevada Hotel and Casino industry when it opened Aug. 5, 1996. Its opulent Roman-Grecian fantasy land captured international attention with imported marble statuary, scroll-designed stationary, cocktail servers costumed as goddesses, scroll-designers stationery and world-famous entertainers.
The original facility cost 25 million and comprised 680 guest rooms, the 25,000 square-foot colosseum Convention Convention Complex, 980-seat Circus Maximus Showroom,
two restaurants (Noshorium Coffee Shop, later called Cafe Roma, and the Bacchanal, both now closed and replaced with modern restaurants), the Garden of the Gods swimming pool complex (with one swimming pool and spa), Nero's Nook Lounge and the Roman Forum Casino (now called Palace Casino).
On 4th December, 1986 the World of Caesar was constructed at the entrance to the Caesars Palace Central people mover. The World of Caesars houses a miniature city of Rome as it may have looked 2,000 years ago. An attraction to many of the estimated 28 million people who annually pass by Caesars Palace, the facility was built at a cost of 2.5 million. The central people mover was modified in 1996 to provide passengers a brief glimpse of the 70-foot rotunda within Caesars Magical Empire.
On 6th November 1989, Caesars opened its third people mover and the Temple of Caesar. Located at the north property border, the brilliant Quadriga statue, four gold-leafed-horses and charioteer, beckons guests to travel through five heroic arches en route to the resorts Forum Casino.
On the same day, Caesars Palace launched its Emperors Club for slot machine players, a program of rewards and incentives that encourages guests to stay longer and play longer at the Las Vegas Casino. The Caesars Palace casino slot club was replaced with the Park Place Connection in December 2001, enabling members to enjoy club benefits seamlessly at all 28 Park Place entertainment resort casinos.
