Chili and Poker
This week we had our weekly Poker game at a friends house. He decided to make hot dogs for us to eat. Hot dogs are not a bad food for a poker game. They can be eaten with one hand and are not greasy and are relatively clean, unless you are making chili dogs. Now the chili as a toping and you could choose not to use it. Unfortunately some of the players at our game decided to put the chili on their dogs. There was chili all over the place, on the cards on the table and on some of the players. Every time someone spilled chili on something we had to stop the poker game while they ran to get stuff to clean the table and for people to run to the bathroom to get the stains out. It was by far the worst poker game we have had in a long time.
This is why I tell you that make sure to choose carefully the foods you are going to put out for your poker game.
Normally our games go from 9 pm till 2 am or later, but this week we were home by 12:30. Not because the food was bad and we were hungry but it is annoying when after every 2 or 3 poker hands you need to stop for 20 minutes.
Here is the recipe for the chili that my friend made I must say it is good but not really meant for a poker game. Maybe it would be ok if you wee eating it from a bowl while playing online poker or blackjack in an online casino.
