Gambling Experience:
Believe it or not the reason I started gambling was because of the movie the color of money. I really wanted to be like them in the movie. Shooting pool making money and traveling, but I was not very good at pool. A friend and I used to go to the pool hall almost every night and I did get better but not good enough.
The pool hall had employees called pool sharks that would play you in a game and if you won you would get a free half hour on the table. I could never beat them, regardless of how much I tried and how often I practiced I could not win.
Eventually I gave up my dreams to be a professional pool player and became a mailman. During my first month as a postal carrier I was invited by some of the other guys to play in a Wednesday night poker game.
I had never really played poker before, except with my dad and brother on family trips, but I went to the game and to my surprise I won some money.
I have been going back every Wednesday and usually I am the biggest winner. I have recently started playing online poker and occasionally I like to go to the Indian casinos in Connecticut to play in there poker rooms.
I have a new dream now and it is to eventually make it into the World Series of Poker. I do not need to win but it would be great if I can make it to the final table.
Besides poker I also enjoy playing Roulette at the casinos and I am just starting to learn to play Blackjack.
I would like to retire from the Post office and retire on my Gambling winnings in the next 5 years.
