How to Play Johnny 5

Johnny 5 is not a traditional Casino Game like Blackjack, Roulette and Poker, it is a game that can be played for money at home between friends. The object is to make a hand totaling 5 or less. The dealer will deal each player 5 cards then flip the top cad left on the deck for the discard pile. Players must discard and then pick a card up. A Johnny 5 player may pick up a card from the deck or the last card that was discarded.

A player may discard 1 card at a time or a pair or any number of a kind or a straight in Johnny 5. Once you have a hand of 5 or less you can lay your hand down. The game is not over just because someone placed their hand down. The other players continue once all players have finished hands are compared, and the player with the lowest hand wins. All face cards except the Ace and the Jokers are worth 10 points. An Ace is worth 1 point and a joker is wild and can equal 0.

The betting in Johnny 5 is quite simple all players agree to a price per point, let's say 1 dollar. When the game is over for every point over the winners hand you have to pay that player 1 dollar per point so if the winner has a Johnny 5 hand of 5 and you have 7 points you owe that player 2 dollars.

Johnny 5 is a great game that is simple to learn and fun to play.
