Playing War in the Casino
The first thing that happens in the card game of war is that a 52 card deck is split in half 26 cards to each player. After the deck is split each player without looking at the cards will flip over the top card in their pile. The player who has the highest card wins the other players card. The object of war is to win all the other players cards.
The Casino game of war is really no different with one exception. The object of war as played in a casino is to win money, not cards.
In the casino version of war the players sit at a Blackjack style table. The first thing that happens is that the player places his bet. After the bet has been placed the dealer, using a 6 deck shoe will deal the player 1 card and one for him. If the player's card is of a higher value then the dealers he is paid 1:1. If the dealer's card is higher the dealer wins. In the event that both the dealers and the player's cards are the same the player can declare war or have half his money returned. If the player declares war he must place a 2nd bet. After this the dealer will remove 3 cards from the shoe and toss them away. Then the dealer will deal another card the players and 1 for the dealer if the players card is higher he wins the war and his original bet is returned and the 2nd bet is paid off at 1:1. If the dealer has the high card he takes both bets.
